Tayrona National Park: update 2026
Tayrona National Park is currently open and remains one of the most important natural destinations in Colombia’s Caribbean region, covering more than 19,000 hectares of protected land and sea.
The park offers multiple ways to explore it, with four main access points and a wide variety of landscapes, from tropical forest trails to more than 40 beaches along the coast.
Tayrona closes several times each year for environmental and cultural reasons. Scheduled closures:
- June 1–15
- October 19–November 2
